Canadian comedy phenomenon Che Durena lands at St Kilda's National Theatre in October as part of his first Australia and New Zealand tour.
Che Durena, the Haitian Canadian comic whose clips have racked up more than a billion views, is heading to Melbourne.
Presented by BOHM Presents, Che Durena plays the National Theatre in St Kilda on 13 October, one of five dates on his debut run across Australia and New Zealand. The comic has amassed a following north of eight million people, and he’s now channelling the sharp crowd work and quick-fire riffs behind those numbers into a full live set.

The Melbourne stop caps a fast few years for Che Durena. He’s shared bills with Jay Pharoah, Fortune Feimster, Brad Williams and Lil Rel Howery, and warmed up rooms for Bert Kreischer on the Tops Off Stadium Tour, playing to crowds well past 12,000.
Before the algorithm caught on, Che Durena cut his teeth hosting and writing for a YouTube countdown series, then built a huge social media audience through his off-the-cuff rants and commentary. That instinct for reading a room in real time is what the touring show is built around.
Born and raised in British Columbia and now based in Toronto, he’s spent more than a decade working stand-up stages before his short-form videos turned him into an international draw. His material leans into an absurdist read on culture, relationships and the strangeness of life lived abroad.
