Revolver Upstairs is a music mecca this month.

No matter what time it is, no matter what your proclivities are, Revolver is ready to welcome you up into its hallowed halls. Everybody knows that the venue is one of the most quintessentially Melbourne places to party, and this month, it’s doubling down with marathon DJ sets and live gigs of all genres in the bandroom.

One of the most exciting young names in the underground house scene right now, London-based Joss Dean is heading into the Revolver cage for a full day session as part of the Winter Series. Local support from Boogs, Spacey Space, Brian Fantana and more will keep the energy locked in. It’ll be the perfect Sunday reset with serious dancefloor heat from the Dean family lineage.

Union Heights is throwing a double album launch for two of Melbourne’s sharpest hip hop voices. Viliani drops her most personal and uncompromising body of work yet with Rebirth, while Kibbz from Jake and the Fatman brings the raw emotion and heavy hitters of his new EP Stillness. Support comes from Helen Earth, Vinnie Hoover, Hommy Devito and Quaid Pearce, with DJs Doc Felix and Decktektive keeping the energy locked all night. Plus, the Seasons of Change exhibition runs from 5pm in the Back Bar.

Adelaide’s favourite chaotic metalcore quintet Life Pilot hits the Bandroom on their Victorian Disturbance Tour after supporting Parkway Drive. Long-time mates Deadweight80, Miseryguts and Atriox join them for a night of noise, riffs and pure chaos. Doors open at 7pm and the walls won’t know what hit them.

Grammy-nominated legend and Toolroom boss Mark Knight takes over for a massive four-hour set, drawing on his catalogue of global hits and decades of peak-time experience. Locals including Boogs, T-Rek, Ben Silver and others fill out the day from 7am to 10pm, with Knight locked in from 3:30pm. This one’s pure house and techno royalty for a long, sweaty Sunday session.

Some Folk presents a night of song and dance with four sharp songwriters sharing the Bandroom stage. Clara Darcy & The Medicine Women lean into folk-rock with a lo-fi, off-beat sensibility, while Kaytlyn Johnson delivers indie-pop and folk stories that hit deep. Miguel Brooking and Sammy Snide round out the bill with lived-in storytelling and plenty of heart.

German brothers Sven and Lars of Monkey Safari lock in for a full 12-hour set of melodic house and techno, running from midday right through to midnight. Locals like Boogs, T-Rek, Ben Silver and more warm things up from 7am as the day stretches deep into the night. These guys know the Revolver cage inside out and always deliver a guaranteed good time.
