Floodlights and James Range Band are teaming up for a fundraiser supporting First Nations musicians

Words by staff writer

The Bush Music Fundraiser is bringing a stacked lineup of Australian talent to Brunswick Ballroom on 22 February.

The Bush Music Fundraiser will see Naarm favourites Floodlights share the stage with James Range Band from Central Australia, all in support of the Bush Music Fund. The organisation provides long-term support to First Nations musicians from remote Australia, helping create genuine networks and opportunities for sustainable music careers. It’s one of those rare lineups where the cause is just as compelling as the acts themselves.

Bush Music Fundraiser

  • Brunswick Ballroom, Melbourne
  • Doors open 4:30pm, show starts 5:30pm
  • Tickets $52.02

Check out our gig guide here.

Floodlights have built a devoted following both locally and internationally with their emotionally charged indie-rock sound. James Range Band bring powerful stories and culture from remote communities to stages across the country, offering audiences something genuinely unique. Special guests Dan Kelly and Nitidia Atkinson (of Don’t Thank Me, Spank Me) will also debut their new collaborative project on the night.

It’s a Sunday afternoon affair, so you can catch some brilliant live music and still make it to work on Monday without too much damage. Proceeds support the Bush Music Fund’s ongoing work connecting remote First Nations artists with the broader Australian music industry.
