Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds will bring their Wild God tour to Australia and New Zealand in early 2026.

After almost a decade away from Australian stages, the legendary rock outfit will perform their most celebrated live production across six cities between January and February. These will be The Bad Seeds’ first Australian performances since 2017, marking a highly anticipated homecoming for the Melbourne-born artist.

Wild God tour promises to showcase material from the band’s latest album alongside career-spanning favourites in what’s being described as a transcendental production. Rather than traditional venues, most shows will take place in beautiful parkland settings, allowing for large-scale productions while maintaining the intimacy fans expect from a Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds performance.

“I can’t wait to get to Australia and New Zealand with The Bad Seeds and to bring you our epic Wild God show,” Cave said. “It’s been a long time coming, and I’ve missed both Australia and New Zealand very much. It will be a wild and mighty joy.”

Each performance will run for approximately two and a half hours, drawing from the band’s four-decade catalogue alongside tracks from Wild God. Released in 2024, the album was produced by Cave and Warren Ellis, with critics praising its balance between convention and experimentation.

Wellington shows will be presented in association with Aotearoa New Zealand Festival of the Arts 2026, while Australian dates are presented by Supersonic Australasia. Fremantle’s performance is being presented by the City of Fremantle.

Tickets go on sale Friday, 29 August at 10am local time.
