Define your genre in five words?
Space blues tripped electric jams.
Seedy Jeezus have played a bucketload of gigs around the world. What’s been your favourite?
Freak Valley Festival in Netphen, Germany. We found our extended family there. A lot of crazy fun, killer bands and awesome music.
Any big achievements to date that you reckon we should know about?
There’s always small landmarks. Touring Europe was a dream realised. Releasing any music is an achievement. Gigging with bands you love is an achievement.
Tell us about your releases. Where can we find ‘em?
There are five EPs, one full length album, 4 x 7” releases, one Etched Vinyl European tour release, one extremely limited two track vinyl release, a live in Germany album (vinyl only) and a collaboration album release with Isaiah Mitchell (Earthless) – I think that’s all.
What’s one thing you’d like to do as a band this year?
Late September we’re touring the east coast with Isaiah Mitchell from Earthless. Playing intimate shows, as his backing band, playing songs from bands that have influenced him as a musician.
Tell us about your album Tranquonauts.
It’s a collaboration between Seedy Jeezus and Isaiah Mitchell. It’s two x 20 minute instrumental jams. Each track is different, and there’s a continuity in them.
