“Great originals and stage presence and a rockin’ enjoyable night.”

So then, what’s your name and what you ‘do’ in the band?

"Luke Godwin. Singer, songwriter and guitar."

W hat do you reckon people will say you sound like?

"Alternative country rock. Our influences include Ryan Adams, Neil Young, The ‘Stones, The Byrds, Wilco and The Black Crowes to name a few."

What do you love about making music?

"It emancipates me from the toil and ennui of my everyday working life."

What do you hate about the music industry?

"The corporate labels that churn out crap music with only one motivation. To make money."

If you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff, who would it be and why?

"Keith Richards. At the tender age of eight, a television station was playing the Start Me Up video regularly. I was immediately transfixed every time it came on and could not believe how cool the archetypal rock star was. Shortly after I bought my first record, Tattoo You and started my first love affair with music."

If you could assassinate one person or band from popular music, who would it and why?

"Bjork. Isn’t it obvious?"

What can a punter expect from your live show?

"Great originals and stage presence and a rockin’ enjoyable night."

What you got to sell CD-wise?

"Our debut album What Comes After The Dawn."

When’s the gig and with who?

"Album launch February 12 at Cherry Bar, AC/DC Lane. 8pm ’til late with The Little Sisters and The Hired Guns. $13 at door."

Anything else to add?

"We will be grateful to play to a healthy size audience so come down and support us if you dig our music. Satisfaction guaranteed."
