If you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff, who would it be and why?
Maybe Jim Morrison, I heard he jammed with a lot of buskers on the street and stuff like that, so maybe he would be receptive to listen to my riffs.
If you could assassinate one person or band from popular music, who would it and why? Bieber for sure! He’s just music terrorism 101, not only is he making shite music, he is total douche to boot!
When are you playing live/releasing your album/EP/single/etc? We are playing all across across Australia until the end of June in support of our brand new record Navigate The Sunrise. We hit Melbourne on Wednesday June 18 for a run of shows that includes Cherry Bar, Pelly Bar in Frankston, MusicMan on Bendigo and Rock N Load at The Espy. Keep up on our Facebook.
How long have you been gigging and writing?
I have been writing songs pretty much since I first picked up a guitar at about 14-years-old and then think I was about 16 at my first gig.
What’s the strangest place you’ve ever played a gig, or made a recording? We did a gig in 2011 in the USA and when we were playing our set at this tavern, everyone was seated at tables eating their dinner, weird concept, but fair to say we made the gravy jiggle.
Tell us about the last song you wrote. A brand new one that will be on our next release, slow grove, quite dark, it is yet untitled, needs a bit longer in the oven.
Do you have a pre-gig ritual? If so, what is it? Couple of stretches and a stiff whiskey and we are good to go!
Name an interview question you wish someone would ask you, and answer it. Who is the better metal band Pantera or Metallica? My answer would be Pantera.
If you could go on tour with any musician or band, who would it be? Alice in Chains, if I did nothing else in music except for touring with them I would die a happy man.
How do you balance making and playing music with your other commitments? For me music comes first, so my other commitments have to work around it and so they generally take a back seat. Nothing wrong with eating baked beans seven days a week!
