There’s almost no question that the live music scene in Melbourne is one of the best, fans can pick any day of the week and be inundated with a variety of shows across many different genres.

Today we’re looking around the grounds for what’s on this month, there’re some killer gigs on the horizon, with old school metal tributes, international DJ’s and Aussie icons, there’s something for everyone this March.

Coverdale & Zep-Her

  • Location: Bendigo Hotel, 125 Johnston St, Collingwood, Vic 3066.
  • Date: Sunday March 6.
  • Time: 5pm

If you’re a fan of old school Heavy Metal, look no further than this killer gig happening at the Bendigo this weekend. Coverdale is celebrating the music of the titular vocalist, who was at the helm of groups like Deep Purple, Whitesnake, and of course his own solo band for a number of years.

Catch this cover band take audiences through each era of the vocalist, and if you close your eyes, you might even mistake them for the real thing. They’ll be joined by Zep-Her, a Led Zeppelin tribute. It’s happening at the Bendigo Hotel on March 8.

Courtney Barnett

You’d be hard pressed to find an Aussie artist as prolific as Courtney Barnett, her three albums to date have each been as solid as the last, with the recent Things Take Time, Take Time taking the world by storm.

The BRIT and Grammy award nominee will be hitting the road with this album, making her way to the Forum stage later this month, where she’ll be supported by the talented Alice Skye.

DJ Seinfeld

  • Location: Reunion Park, Burnley
  • Date: Friday March 18
  • Time: 5pm
  • Price: $98.65
  • Genre: Electronic

The brand-new music venue Reunion Park has some killer shows on the horizon, like Benee, King Gizz, and Spacey Jane to name a few.

Reunion Park also marks one of the first spaces that will house an international act after lockdowns and restrictions, talented Swedish DJ Seinfeld will be making his way to Aussie shores in March.

Amy Shark

Amy Shark has quickly become one of Australia’s biggest exports, working with international stars like Ed Sheeran, Travis Barker, and many more. She’s been making her way across the country these last few months, and her Melbourne show is happening this Friday.

The music doesn’t stop with Amy Shark, she’ll be supported by Evie Irie and Teenage Joans, making it a night of killer music.

Under The Southern Stars

It’s been on the horizon for a number of years now, but it looks like Under the Southern Stars is set to take place in only a couple of weeks. It’ll bring some legendary rockers to our shores, but first audiences will get music from Aussies Electric Mary and Rose Tattoo, then Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Stone Temple Pilots, Bush and Cheap Trick.

It’s hitting Margaret Court Arena on March 16, and will also hit a number of cool regional spots throughout the country.
