There’s an enchanting music festival happening at Hanging Rock this month

Macedon Ranges Music Festival

Regional Victoria's beloved Macedon Ranges Music Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2022 at Hanging Rock.

One of regional Victoria’s favourite intimate music festivals is turning 10, and they’re celebrating by moving to a new home; one of the most spellbinding destinations in the state.

Macedon Ranges Music Festival will feature an all-Aussie lineup including seasoned blues stars like Ash Grunwald, giving audiences the chance to get up close to some of their favourite performers. The ARIA-nominated powerhouse spearheads a diverse line up backed by Melbourne funk party band The Seven Ups, country group Georgia State Line, new power-pop outfit Baby Velvet and many more.

While the vibe is close-knit, there’s no shortage of top-class entertainment on offer. There’ll be two stages of live music operating all day, plus some of the finest food and drink producers of the Macedon Ranges – no small feat. The festival has renovated an old empty bus into a rather stunning MRMF Bus Stop Stage, which will be featuring local talent all day.

There’ll be a pop-up cocktail bar by award winning locals Mountain Distilling will be dishing out espresso martinis coming as you try to choose between absorbing the music or the finest scenery Victoria has to offer.

It’s an all-ages family affair, perfect for just about anybody, but it’ll pay to get in quick. At the time of writing, first-release tickets are still available, but MRMF sold out quickly in 2021. The sweetener on top of all of this is that the festival donates 100% of proceeds from ticket sales to the locally founded Cambodian Kids Foundation. It really is something special.
