How long have you been running trivia and who hosts it? Quiz Meisters have been running trivia at The Wick for almost a decade. The night is hosted by local singer/comedian/writer Alice Tovey, who warms a Monday crowd that refuse to accept the weekend is over.
How does it work? Quiz Meisters film all of their audio visual segments ‘in house’ and the quiz night morphs into a game show type experience with quirky characters testing everyone’s general knowledge. Encapsulating the pub culture vibe, Quiz Meisters bring a spontaneous, original edge to their trivia whereby no two trivia nights are the same.
What segments can punters expect? Segments range from a Romanian Opera singer belting out pop songs in an operatic fashion, to the last game of the night called ‘Duck Lotto’ which has teams betting on rubber ducks racing in the Darebin Creek rapids. Opera Boy, Call Bruce, Pornstar or My Little Pony and Face Off with Nicholas Cageare just a few other segments we might spring at you.
How many people come along each week? It’s a Melbourne made trivia feast which draws a weekly crowd of up to 80 people. We also have live music, exclusive UFC screenings and frequent pub food specials – on trivia night it’s $15 parmas.
