The Wine & Cheese Fest returns for the tastiest day of the year!

Melbourne’s gastronomic calendar is set for a delicious highlight as the Wine & Cheese Fest makes a triumphant return on Sunday, 3rd March 2024, promising an exquisite day of dairy indulgence and grape delights.

Held at the characterful venue of The Timber Yard in Port Melbourne, this festival is gearing up to be a ‘gouda’ time for Melburnians.

In its 11th edition, the Wine & Cheese Fest is bringing together around 50 artisan producers from Victoria and beyond, creating a sensory haven for cheese and wine enthusiasts. Attendees can expect an epicurean journey with free tastings, engaging masterclasses, and the chance to converse with each boutique producer.

It’s not just about enjoying the moment; it’s an opportunity to support local businesses by taking home some delectable produce.

Among the esteemed list of producers and providores showcasing their goods are That’s Amore Cheese, BoatShed Cheese, Schulz Organic Dairy, Long Paddock Cheese & The Cheese School, L’Artisan Cheese, Urban Vineyard, Bellarine Estate Winery, Pizzini Wines, Clarnette Wines, and John Gehrig Wines.

To complement the tasting experience, a selection of eateries, including Ummu Gozleme, Porcupine Eatery woodfired pizzas, Athens Traditional Souvlaki, and Cannoleria, will be serving up delicious dishes between sips.

Whether one is a seasoned connoisseur or just someone with a penchant for tantalising taste buds, the Wine & Cheese Fest promises an unforgettable experience. Attendees have the opportunity to delve into the secrets of cheese production and winemaking through free masterclasses, gaining insights and tips to become aficionados in their own right.

For those keen to get involved, the festival is hosting its famous Grape Stomp Competition between 3 pm and 4 pm in the outdoor areas, promising a muddy yet fun-filled experience. Express your interest for that one here.

Entertainment is woven into every corner of the festival, with live music, DJs, and roving artists creating a vibrant atmosphere. Families are well catered for, with a dedicated kids’ zone offering interactive activities, games, and face painting by Dragon Dream Face Painting & Accessories.

The festival offers two mouthwatering sessions, and all tickets include tastings, masterclasses, a tote bag, and a glass. In addition to General Admission tickets, there are Total Wine Indulgence tickets, including three glasses of wine at the W&CF bar and a bottle to take home (valued at $30). For an exclusive VIP experience, offering all-day admission, access to the VIP room, and a VIP Masterclass ‘Tasting Museum Wines’ at 2 pm, tickets are priced at $160.
