Melbourne’s southside prepares for exceptional winter entertainment as Kingston City Hall unveils two standout performances from its Winter Cabaret Season. The intimate Moorabbin venue presents Cabaret Unscripted on 18 July and The Exotic Lives of Lola Montez on 29 August, showcasing some of Melbourne’s most celebrated cabaret artists.
Kingston City Hall has curated these diverse performances to offer audiences world-class entertainment on their doorstep.

Cabaret Unscripted takes the stage on 18 July with Isabella Valette and Greg Lavell delivering improvised musical comedy. Fresh from winning a Green Room Award for Outstanding Musical Direction, this dynamic duo crafts electrifying evenings using audience suggestions and stories. The performance weaves razor-sharp wit with stellar musicality in authentic 1930s cabaret style, creating thrilling unpredictable adventures that leave audiences amazed at the spontaneous talent unfolding before their eyes.
The season concludes on 29 August with The Exotic Lives of Lola Montez, featuring Finucane & Smith’s historical spectacular. This breathtaking production tells the story of Lola Montez’s scandalous 1855 goldfields tour through sultry storytelling and jaw-dropping burlesque. The show stars triple Best Actress winner Miss Caroline Lee alongside burlesque goddess Maple Rose, operatic darling Piera Dennerstein and Parisian club kitten Iva Rosebud, bringing Australian history to life through breathtaking performances.
