WIN: Three of Australia’s finest female artists head to The Memo Healesville

The Memo
words by staff writer

Three iconic Aussie artists, one epic lineup, all inside The Memo. You do not want to miss this.

The Memo Healesville is celebrating Women in Music with a run of shows from three of Australian music’s most beloved voices, and two free tickets to each show are officially up for grabs.

Women in Music at The Memo brings together The Audreys, Kate Miller-Heidke and Ella Thompson for a lineup spanning alt-country, soul and everything in between.

Kicking things off is Kate Miller-Heidke, never one to sit still creatively, launching her new album The Kiss and the Abyss. Blending gothic folk with theatrical storytelling and cinematic production, it’s shaping up as one of her boldest releases yet, and this tour gives fans an up-close look at that new material.

Next up is The Audreys, marking 20 years since the release of their breakthrough album Between Last Night and Us with a special anniversary tour. Known for their warm, storytelling-driven take on alt-country and folk, the band will revisit the record that first put them on the map.

Rounding out the season is Ella Thompson, a serious force in the local soul scene. Mentored by the late Renée Geyer and with stints touring alongside Mark Ronson under her belt, Thompson will bring tracks from her new record Triumph and Sadness to The Memo’s intimate stage.

Together, the three shows make for a genuinely diverse celebration of women shaping Australian music right now, from heartfelt roots songwriting through to soul and avant-garde pop. It’s an easy excuse to head out to Healesville and catch some serious talent in a small room.

Even better, we’re giving away a double pass to each of the three shows; that’s three lucky winners in total.
