Werribee garden party So Frenchy So Chic returns with a full French line-up for 2023

So Frenchy So Chic

One-day music and culinary festival So Frenchy So Chic returns to the lush grounds of Werribee Park.

So Frenchy So Chic, Australia’s favourite celebration of French culture, will return for a 12th year in 2023, to Melbourne’s Werribee Mansion on January 15 and Sydney’s Bicentennial Park on January 21.

The only French music festival of its kind outside of France, SFSC is a unique social and sensory experience of live music, gourmet food, fine wine, and joie de vivre on tap, channeling pure Euro-summer escapism without the plane ticket.

Keep up with the latest music news, festivals, interviews and reviews here.

For the first time since 2020, SFSC23 returns with a full line-up of native French performers, with France’s best young trending and award-winning (French Grammy equivalent) pop artists, flying down for exclusive performances.

Fresh from France’s summer festival circuit, headline acts Pi Ja Ma, Rover, Kalika and Suzane will perform live, turning Australia’s poshest picnic into an unmissable garden party.
SFSC23 is a wholly catered and licensed event, with feasts prepared by premiere French eateries in Sydney and Melbourne.

Melbournians will enjoy offerings by famous fromagerie Milk The Cow, Frederic Bistro, and Prahran’s favourite French restaurant, L’Hôtel Gitan, while Sydneysiders can expect haute cuisine in a relaxed setting by Bellevue Cottage, headed up by Antoine Moscovitz, who trained under Alain Ducasse and was formerly private chef to House of Roederer Cristal Champagne. In addition, Rosebery French eatery, Frenchies, will be offering charcuterie hampers.

In addition, food stalls on site will create an ‘ambiance de marché’, selling everything from oysters, lobster rolls, croque monsieur, cassoulet, Basque paella, sweetcorn madeleines with blue swimmer crab and espelette, mussels, and pissaladiere to crème brûlée and crêpe to please even the most demanding gourmand. Charcuterie & Cheese hampers are available for preorder in both locations.

Alongside a curated selection of French wines and cocktails, SFSC23 will be proudly pouring Champagne Lanson, bubbles from one of the oldest Champagne Houses in France.

Embrace the joie de vivre at historic Werribee Park for a summer weekend that brings provincial France to you.

So Frenchy So Chic arrives at Werribee Park Mansion on Sunday, January 15 2023. Limited tickets available, on sale at www.sofrenchysochic.com
