Melbourne fans of WOMADelaide can taste what will be in store at the festival at the WOMADelaide Warm Up Party here in Melbourne. Win prizes, listen to some cool tunes, and donate to a good cause!
One of Australia’s most loved music festivals, WOMADelaide, will once again give Melbourne fans a taste of what’s in store at Adelaide’s Botanic Park on March 11-14, by hosting the 2011 WOMADelaide Warm Up Party at The Order of Melbourne.
This preview will happen on Thursday February 17, and will feature exciting WOMADelaide act The Woohoo Revue.
Before and after The Woohoo Revue present samples of their gypsy folk musical maelstrom, there will be more sounds of the planet from DJs SystaBB and Saca la Mois DJ on the decks, keeping the party going.
The night will also feature WOMADelaide ticket giveaways, limited edition WOMADelaide merchandise, plus the first chance in the country to listen to and buy Nigerian headline act Asa’s new album, Beautiful Imperfection.
Free entry and all-ages, but if you’re attending you are encouraged to make a gold coin donation towards the Queensland Flood Appeal at the door.
