Renowned for their dynamic indie rock/pop sound and captivating stage presence, Ball Park Music has featured in almost every Triple j Hottest 100 countdown since 2011, peaking in 2020 when their track “Cherub” featured at number four. Additionally, the group has garnered numerous Queensland Music Awards, ARIA Music Awards nominations, recognition at the National Live Music Awards, and a nomination for Australian Album of the Year at the J Awards.

In ten years, they’ve produced seven albums – the last six having consecutively debuted in the top 10 of the ARIA charts. Ball Park Music’s latest album Weirder & Weirder is the band’s third record to debut at #2 on the ARIA Charts and saw the track ‘Stars In My Eyes’ reaching the top 10 of triple j’s Hottest 100.

Festival Director Blake Gilchrist expressed his excitement in adding Ball Park Music to the 2024 festival lineup:

“We are beyond thrilled to announce Ball Park Music as the secret jewel of next year’s Vintage Vibes line-up. They are a group who have commanded Australian festival stages for years and have released countless hits. I’m beyond excited to see them take the stage at Vintage Vibes next year.

“Adding to the excitement today is the announcement that we are dropping our ticket prices for a week, just in time for Christmas! Tickets will drop from $178 down to $99 and we hope it enables more people to be able to enjoy the festival next year.

“We totally understand how hard it is out there, petrol prices, groceries, mortgages, all the prices are up, plus it’s Christmas time, so we know dollars are tight. So, we want to make Vintage Vibes  accessible to everyone and if that means offering a small release run of reduced price tickets, then so be it!”

The Vintage Vibes Festival is set to turn the picturesque vineyards of South Australia’s Tomich Wines once again into an immersive soundscape, bringing the world’s finest musicians to the region for two unforgettable days. The event offers a blend of auditory and visual pleasures set amidst rows of grapevines bathed in the soft glow of the summer sun, offering an experience like none other in the state.

Beyond the stage, the festival is a culinary odyssey. The Picnic Tribe presents a lavish array of platters, while Nagev offers a premier plant-based dining experience. Vegan favourites Staazi & Co will deliver their Greek vegan delights. While for those after something larger, Motherlode serves up succulent fried chicken and sandwiches, and TaCHs Stroopwafels provides Dutch Stroopwafels and other homemade desserts. Additionally, Sookii La La is poised to surprise with their Asian street food delights.

Complementing the feast, Vale Brewing and Tomich Hill Wines will be served alongside cocktails from 23rd Street Distillers, and expanding the VIP experience this year will be the ElToro Tequila Hacienda Bar. For those desiring all the flavour without the alcohol, Don’t Mock Me, Australia’s first booze-free mobile cocktail bar, offers a lively, inclusive atmosphere, perfect for the sober and sober-curious alike.

Plus, Vintage Vibes is excited to be partnering with the NFP Red Dust, with $1 from every ticket sold going towards helping the organisation deliver musical instruments to indigenous artists, school and communities.
