Favourite Song is the third single off Little Wise’s acclaimed album, Silver Birch and co-written with Melbourne-based John Flanagan.
The duet tells a story about a secret love affair between two people, longing to be dancing together but trapped both on the dance-floor in life in their unhappy marriages.
“In my mind this song was set in an era gone by. I felt having Sal sing with me would add a whole new dimension to the song, being a romantic duet between two women,” said Little Wise’s Sophie Klein. Not only are the characters separated by circumstance of being married to other people, but they are prevented from being together because the relationship itself would be taboo in that time.”
