Next month, Van Halen will release their first album with singer David Lee Roth since their 1984 album,1984. I’m going to say no. No to the humourless Eddie Van Halen guitar solo, and especially no to Dave’s disturbing old man efforts to sing in that shitty, dilapidated head voice, which is the first thing former ’80s hair metal singers lose, right before their dignity.
