Perth’s Umpire took the 2009 WAMI Song of the Year with a track called Streamers from their debut, self-titled EP. They’ve since signed with Hidden Shoal and recorded a long player, from which this warm, mid-tempo indie rock cruiser is plucked. It’s a confident, vaguely moody tune, driven by the lead vocal and quietly catchy chorus. Not a particularly striking tune, but well-crafted. Lives somewhere between Pollyanna and Come Said The Boy by Mondo Rock.
