Bring It On and Liquid Skin were monumental albums for Gomez. The debut Bring It On scored Gomez early brownie points in the music scene, garnering multi-platinum sales, chart topping success and the very distinguished Mercury Prize.
The Parr Street Studios and Abbey Road Studios recorded, Liquid Skin closely followed building on from their production with all three lead singles, Bring It On, Rhythm & Blues Alibi and We Haven’t Turned Around racing into the UK top 40 charts. The album as a whole stood up in the ARIA Charts, debuting at number nine in the overall charts.
Gomez continued to have a lively career post debut and sophomore, racking up 10 albums across nearly three decades.
The two albums will be highlighted across Ottewell and Ball’s national Australian tour which will see them hit up Perth, Meeniyan, Castlemaine, Lorne, Melbourne, Cairns, Brisbane, Eltham, Murwillumbah, Adelaide and Sydney throughout October and November. Presented by Love Police, their Victorian stops will be into Meeniyan Town Hall of Saturday 2 November, Theatre Royal on Sunday 3 November, Lorne Theatre Monday 4 November and off to The Croxton on Thursday 7 November.
Along for the Australian voyage is Gomez-inspired troubadour, Buddy.
