Following its successful national Sydney launch, Taxify,  Europe’s fastest-growing ride-sharing platform will expand to Melbourne — and they’re offering 50 percent off to get things started.

Taxify has already proven hugely popular with Australians with tens of thousands of app downloads and over 10,000 drivers already registered to the platform ahead of the Melbourne expansion.

“Following huge popular demand for Taxify in NSW with tens of thousands of app downloads in just the first day of launching, we are excited to expand to Melbourne,” said Markus Villig, founder and CEO of Taxify.

Taxify claims that their commission rate of 15 percent for drivers will result in cheaper fares for riders.

“Not only can drivers expect to earn more when driving with Taxify, but riders can expect to save money at the same time.”
