Good Company Bar Group (GCBG) – the hospo powerhouse founded by Nick Young, Ben White and Antony Beltrame – is throwing a monster birthday bash across all eight of their venues on Friday, May 2, slinging half-price drinks till midnight and announcing a serious expansion that’ll see them add three new joints to their already impressive portfolio.

What started as a modest small-bar vision has morphed into a proper Melbourne institution with over 300 staff across venues spanning Windsor, Prahran, South Yarra and the CBD.

But they’re not resting on their laurels – GCBG is about to go even harder with a landmark revival of iconic Swanston Street haunt The Lounge (closed for over a decade), set to re-open in Spring 2025.

But wait, there’s more – they’re also partnering with Andy Ryan and Dave Abela to relaunch the Ugly Duckling on Swan Street with a spicy new cocktail and wine list courtesy of Jon Minihan and Matt Ambler, plus a fresh Italian bar menu. Next door, they’re transforming the current Untitled site into a brand-new restaurant concept.

For those who’ve sweated it out on Electric’s dancefloor, you’ll know these guys don’t stuff around when it comes to bookings, having hosted the likes of Dom Dolla, Peking Duk Fisher and Flight Facilities, plus legendary afterparties for Dua Lipa, Post Malone and Drake.

“Melbourne’s nightlife scene is in our DNA, and this expansion is just the beginning,” says Nick Young. Feeling lucky? Jump online to score one of 25 vouchers up for grabs, including five $500 gift cards and 20 $150 ones.
