TISM are bringing a full evening of chaos to Port Melbourne's PICA on 2 May.
Dubbed Wankers Of The World, Unite!, the exclusive one-off show will feature live sets from three of the country’s sharpest rising acts: The Belair Lip Bombs, Dr Sure’s Unusual Practice and Large Mirage. The Melbourne date follows two sold-out performances at the Sydney Opera House in April, but the band have made it clear this show stands on its own — it won’t be replicated elsewhere.
For a group that reformed via secret shows and a Good Things Festival slot in 2022 before launching the Death To Art Tour in 2024 with Machine Gun Fellatio, Eskimo Joe and the Mavis’s in tow, a one-off Melbourne return at PICA with a completely fresh support lineup feels like a different proposition entirely.

Frankston four-piece The Belair Lip Bombs have been on a steep upward trajectory since forming in 2017. The band became the first Australian act to sign with Jack White’s Third Man Records in 2024, with a reissue of their debut album Lush Life followed by their sophomore record Again in October 2025. They’ve played SXSW and The Great Escape, and are currently midway through a US headline run.
Dr Sure’s Unusual Practice have carved out their own lane in Melbourne’s underground since emerging in 2019. The synth punk outfit — led by Central Queensland-born, Melbourne-based artist Dougal Shaw — write, record, mix and release everything through Shaw’s own Marthouse Records. Their third album Total Reality dropped in 2024 and earned recognition from Henry Rollins, who placed it in his top 10 releases of that year. Their most recent EP Blue followed in 2025.
Rounding out the bill, Large Mirage bring a heavy dose of retro psychedelic rock with a modern edge. The young outfit have shared stages with everyone from AC/DC to Amyl and the Sniffers, and have appeared at Woodford Folk Festival, Lost Paradise and Party In The Paddock. Their 2025 EP Wings Of Time continues a run of releases that blend 1970s hard rock grit with three-part harmonies and extended instrumental jams.
With seven studio albums, two ARIA Award wins and an unbroken commitment to anonymity across four decades, TISM remain one of the most singular forces in Australian music. Paired with a support bill that spans indie rock, synth punk and psych rock, the PICA show is shaping up as one of Melbourne’s most distinctive nights out in May.
