Yorke’s Australian tour comes in the wake of his latest project, Confidenza, a soundtrack album for Domenico Starnone’s novel of the same name. This work follows his acclaimed score for Luca Guadagnino’s 2018 remake of Suspiria.

The Suspiria soundtrack earned a Grammy nomination for Best Song Written for Visual Media. Confidenza, produced by Sam Petts-Davies, sees Yorke collaborating once again with the London Contemporary Orchestra and a jazz ensemble featuring Robert Stillman and Tom Skinner, his bandmate from The Smile.

In addition to Confidenza, Yorke’s recent contributions include music for Edward Norton’s 2019 film Motherless Brooklyn and two original tracks for the 2022 series finale of Peaky Blinders.

Recently, Yorke has been focusing on recording and touring with The Smile, alongside Tom Skinner and Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood. The Smile released their second studio album, Wall Of Eyes, in January, following their 2022 debut album, A Light For Attracting Attention. The band’s recent tour in March saw them debuting new music, showcasing their ongoing creative evolution.

Yorke’s solo tour promises a captivating experience, blending his solo material, film scores, and innovative work with The Smile. Fans can expect an extraordinary showcase of his musical genius at some of Australia’s most majestic venues.

Tickets for all Thom Yorke shows will be available to the general public starting Wednesday, June 5th at 10 am AEST. Grab them here.
