A critically acclaimed show that has taken the world by storm, Authentic Flamenco is set to make its Naarm/Melbourne debut.

Olé, amantes del flamenco! Teatro Real, Europe’s foremost performing arts institution, is bringing its world-renowned spectacle to Melbourne’s Capitol Theatre for an exclusive engagement from October 20 to October 28, 2023 – and you’re invited.

Having previously wowed audiences in North America and Brazil, Teatro Real – The Royal Opera of Madrid, in collaboration with Fever, is embarking on a global tour spanning over 30 cities, including Melbourne for the first time.

Authentic Flamenco offers a unique and invigorating take on the traditional Spanish art form, celebrating the rich heritage of flamenco through an unforgettable live dance performance.

 

Recognised for its outstanding artistic programming, chorus, and orchestra, Teatro Real has embraced diverse musical genres in recent years. The institution’s dedication to promoting flamenco is evident through its regular “tablao” shows in the Ballroom, has cumulated in the globally acclaimed production, Authentic Flamenco.

In May 2021, The Royal Opera of Madrid received international acclaim by being awarded the title of the World’s Best Opera Company at the prestigious International Opera Awards.
