Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Saltburn where luxury, opulence and desire meet at Melbourne’s majestic Rippon Lea mansion on 7 March.

Twilight at the Mansion: Saltburn is an event hosted by the National Trust Australia (Victoria) that combines dancing and feasting amidst the historic splendour of the 19th-century mansion.

“This event marks the National Trust of Australia (Victoria)’s first event centred around the realm of pop culture. We are thrilled to embark on this journey of spotlighting the cult favourite Saltburn,” said Philip Martins, interim CEO of the National Trust of Australia (Victoria).  The NTAV opens some of Australia’s most culturally significant places to the public. With regular tours, events and exhibitions at iconic sites including the Old Melbourne Gaol, Rippon Lea Estate, Como House, Polly Woodside, Barwon Park, and Gulf Station.

Renowned choreographer, Neville Parry will be leading the dancefloor in Rippon Lea’s grand ballroom, bringing more than a decade of expertise in performing arts, as he guides guests through Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s Murder on the Dancefloor.

“The Rippon Lea mansion was the ideal choice to host this event. From the graceful ballroom to the expansive outdoor alfresco and courtyard, its grandeur perfectly mirrors the backdrop of the film,” said Mr. Parry.

Guests are encouraged to dress like they would at Oliver’s Birthday Party, an exclusive affair for devoted fans of the beloved property. Guests can shop their head-turning outfits at the VAULT, located within Melbourne’s Block Arcade.

“The film’s soundtrack effortlessly transports you back to the early 2000s, immersing you in an authentic and unforgettable experience. That is something we wanted to create with this event, a real-life mansion movie story – right here in Melbourne,” adds Mr. Martins.

Rippon Lea is nestled within seven hectares of Victorian pleasure gardens; offering a unique allure and elegance. It is recognised on the National Heritage Register for its significance in Australian history, having been one of the finest examples of original suburban estates in Australia.

This dance class is one of the many events The National Trust of Australia (Victoria) has lined up for 2024 and it is extremely excited to be welcoming guests of all ages to its incredible properties.

‘Twilight at the Mansion: Saltburn’ will be hosted on Thursday 7 March 2024 from 7:00 pm- 10:00 pm.
