This October, Australian Mushrooms and The Australian Mushroom Growers’ Association will be hosting its first Mushroom Festival at Queen Victoria Markets, Melbourne. The free event will be a feast for the senses celebrating farmers, the local food community and fresh Australian mushrooms (agaricus bisporus).

This family friendly, two-day celebration promises to be the largest, tastiest, and most delicious celebration of mushrooms on the foodie calendar, offering a mushroom marketplace with a variety of mushroom-related products and experiences showcasing the talents of local producers and growers and highly rated food vendors and food trucks offering delicious dishes featuring fresh, agaricus mushrooms.
You can talk to Aussie mushroom growers, interact with the mushroom display and learn about how the agaricus mushroom variety is carefully grown in controlled environments by Australian mushroom farmers.
There’ll also be live cooking demonstrations and educational stage, hosting a full program of talented chefs and guest speakers, health education presentations about the unique nutritional benefits and culinary versatility of mushrooms from our guest speakers and mushroom experts. Plus, free entertainment and music, a lively atmosphere and action suitable for the whole family.
