Step into a realm where the mystical meets the mundane, and embark on a journey of self-discovery and enchantment. The ever-popular market is free to visit and it’s the perfect place to pick up some new potion ingredients, have your aura or tarot cards read and rub shoulders with the mystical community in Melbourne.
The Witch Market is part of the High Priestess Witch School 2024, which sees some of the country’s top spiritual teachers descend on the Abbotsford Convent for two days of classes and workshops aimed at heightening spiritual power.
Starting with Witchcraft 101, students will be able to take part in lessons on seasonal magic, spell crafting, potions, herbalism and symbology. If you’re thinking ‘that sounds a lot like Hogwarts’ well… you’re right.
This year, for the first time, Witch School will also be hosting a Witches’ Ball on the night of June 15, where Pagan types gather to dance, mingle and perform a ritual or two under the glowing moon. The masquerade will be serving delicious canapes and drinks and a grand prize will be awarded to the best costume of the evening.
If the occult is your thing, Hawthorn is where you’ll want to be this weekend.
