Melbourne International Games Week is throwing a free Mario Kart competition in Fed Square with gaming consoles and vouchers as prizes, plus there'll be a free arcade for everyone.

Come to The Edge in Fed Square for the thrilling Mario King of Kart Tournament – an  action-packed evening that will pit 32 competitors against one another as they play Mario Kart Deluxe 8 on the Nintendo Switch and vie for the coveted title of King of Kart Champion.

Registration for the tournament is free and open to everyone, so don’t miss your chance to put your skills to the test for a chance to win a fantastic prize package that includes a brand new Nintendo Switch OLED console, controller and $200 JB Hi-Fi voucher.

If you’re not competing, there’s still plenty of excitement in store with classic arcade games including Mario Kart and Sega’s Daytona available for everyone to play, as well as all the excitement of watching the tournament live.
