The Wallflowers, still featuring Bob Dylan’s son Jake, return with their first album in seven years and the ten-years-too-late too late single called Reboot The Mission. It’s not just the title that’s dated – their breathy white boy funk has a late ’90s LA goatie feel, a woefully straight-faced attempt to bring the soul in a world of booming, schizophrenic pop and infinite genre-bending club-meets-hip hop collaborations.
