Does The Taste of Ink still have you in a chokehold? Get ready to savour every moment of this.

The Used’s self-titled album (2002), In Love and Death (2004), and Lies for the Liars (2007) shaped a generation of music fans and solidified the band’s place as emo and pop-punk icons. To mark their 25th anniversary, The Used will perform these albums in full during an Australian tour in 2025.

Spanning five cities—Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth—the tour will see the band play three nights in each city, dedicating each night to a different album. The tour begins in mid-August and concludes in early September.

The Used’s self-titled debut album is hailed as a cornerstone of the post-hardcore movement, blending punk, acoustic, metal, rock, and pop-punk influences. Tracks like The Taste of Ink, Buried Myself Alive, Blue and Yellow, and On My Own helped propel the album to platinum status in the US and gold certification in Australia. This record captured the essence of the early 2000s emo movement, with Bert McCracken’s distinctive vocals becoming a hallmark of the era.

In Love and Death and Lies for the Liars continued the band’s success, with hits like Pretty Handsome Awkward gaining mainstream recognition and even featuring on the Transformers (2007) soundtrack. The tour also includes VIP packages, offering fans perks like a meet-and-greet, a signed record flat of the featured album, exclusive merchandise, and early venue access.

Pre-sale tickets go live on Wednesday, 11 December, at 9am local time, with general sales starting Friday, 13 December, at 9am via Destroy All Lines. For full details, visit The Used’s official website.
