Following a fundraising launch for a magazine, two extremely expensive Technics SL-1200s (which are no longer currently made) were stolen from the venue’s green room.
“We are keen to see them returned ASAP,” the venue told Beat. “If someone ‘finds’ the turntables before close of business today can they please contact the Abbotsford Convent on (03) 9415 3600. We are waiting on access for CCTV footage which will be passed onto the police if no-one comes forward by COB today.”
One of the Technics was a Japanese model with a 110v plug, while the other had a Jim’s ‘tag and testing’ yellow sticker on the cord.
