Lay It Down has a Badloves flavor, a very self-conscious back room blues drawl punctuated by the chilled strains of an organ, some cruise-y electric guitar noodling and a few very casual handclaps. Not the most soulful soul you will ever hear, but not at all bad, and very well produced.
