The Room At Cinema Nova

You are tearing me apart, Lisa! One year of The Room!

After 12 months of sell-out audiences hurling spoons and abuse at the screen, performing skits in the cinema, and quoting the film’s dialogue line for line, Cinema Nova celebrates the one-year anniversary of the cultural ‘disasterpiece’ that is The Room.

Written by, directed by and starring Tommy Wiseau, this ‘Citizen Kane of bad movies’ will be making history as it continues to be screened one year after its release.

The Room will be screened as part of Cinema Nova’s late-night Cult Cravings, as it has fast become a pop cultural phenomenon in Melbourne, and a cult favourite the world over.

It has garnered a massive following overseas, with Paul Rudd, Alec Baldwin, Jonah Hill, David Cross and Kristen Bell among its many celebrity fans.

Head to Cinema Nova on Saturday February 5 at 11.30pm for this special anniversary screening, and find out why it’s so bad that it’s good!

Dress up as your favourite character or prop from the film. Prizes for best costumes. Plastic spoons handed out on entry.

Tickets are on sale now at cinemanova.com.au or the box office. $17.50 for adults, $14.50 concession. Let The Room become your new religion!
