2018 has been nothing short of stellar for Melbourne-grown indie-folk outfit The Paper Kites, who are set to keep things rolling in 2019 with the announcement of a national tour.
Alongside their acclaimed track ‘Bloom’ garnering certified gold status in six countries this year, the five-piece rapidly fired out two gorgeous albums, On The Train Ride Home (April) and On The Corner Where You Live in September. While the band will take from across their extensive catalogue for the shows, it’s their most recent offering that will be the shining star.
Recorded in a glorious Victorian-era home in Connecticut across five weeks, On The Corner Where You Live was co-produced with Grammy Award-winner Peter Katis (Interpol, The National) and is enamouring for its meditative yet complex storytelling qualities.
After whipping around North America and Europe across November and December, The Paper Kites will tour Australia throughout March 2019.
