The Only Gay Book in the Village, a Wheeler Centre event sees some Australian gay and lesbian writers come together to discuss their work.

What makes a work of literature "gay"?

On Tuesday, March 1 this question and other queer-literature-related topics will be discussed at the Wheeler Centre event entitled The Only Gay Book in the Village.

Australia’s gay and lesbian writers such as Bejamin Law, Fiona McGregor, William Yang and Sophie Cunningham will talk about the above label and whether their sexulity is influential and/or central to their work.

The extent of queer literature in Australia will also be a topic for discussion.

The event will be held from 6:15 – 7:15 at the Wheeler Centre and it’s free. Bookings are recommended and can be made at wheelercentre.com.
