The National Live Music Awards will return this December for their third year running, this time introducing a new category for recognising talent within the live music scene.

The NLMAs have announced a category for the Best Live Music Photographer In Australia, with the award set to recognise the finest music photographers on the ground at gigs and festivals across the past twelve months. Photographers are encouraged to nominate themselves for the award which will look at their works in the field from the past year.

In addition to the new category for photographers, the award for Live Drummer of the Year will be renamed The Sheddy in honour of the late drummer and music journalist Iain Sheddon, who not only had a considerable impact on the music scene but was on the judging panel at the inaugural NLMAs.
