Filmed live at Melbourne’s State Theatre, Palace Opera and Ballet begins its 2011 season with Opera Australia’s very own version of the comedic production The Mikado. Using music by Arthur Sullivan and libretto by W.S. Gilbert, the production incorporates breathtaking performances from the Opera Australia Chorus and Dancers, as well as support from Orchestra Victoria. And although you won’t be watching the performance live, this is definitely the next best thing.
