The Melbourne Women’s International Jazz Festival is now on

The Melbourne Women’s International Jazz Festival is now on, running from December 2 to December 12. The Festival takes place at various locations around Melbourne including BMW Edge at Federation Square, Bennetts Lane and Paris Cat.

This year’s lineup features an incredible list of international and local artists. The program includes the Rebecca Barnard Trio playing tracks from Rebecca’s new album Everlasting, for the first time bringing the festival to Melbourne’s West, at The Dancing Dog Café in Footscray, on Sunday December 5. Sure to be a highlight, Cuban pianist and composer Marialy Pacheco and her trio will play at Bennetts Lane on Tuesday December 7. Marialy won the prestigious Jo Jazz piano competion in 2000.

For more information please visit mwijf.org. Tickets for all shows are available at the door at all participating venues. The Festival has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its art funding and advisory body.
