The Melbourne presentation showcasing Victoria’s strong artistic diversity

Promising a night of unique expression, Multi Futurism draws upon MAV’s annual Re-mastered Myths and Visible programs – which deconstruct the stereotypical understandings of what ‘World Music’ is – and focus those revealing efforts into our own surroundings, challenging our perspectives and opening audiences to new opportunities.

With a vast array of creatives from the well-known and underground, the work on display shall exhibit the cerebral and improvisational from both contemporary and traditional inspiration.

The lineup includes the likes of Cool Out Sun (featuring Lamine Sonko, Nfa Jones, Sensible J & Nui Moon), Mojo Juju & The Pacific Island Choir of Victoria, Temporary Autonomous Zone, Amin Payne & Hari Sivanesan, DJ Astronauts Choice and a collaboration between Haiku Hands, Muma Doesa, Jonathon Homsey & Madfox.

With a rich range of genre and style available, including – but not limited to – Afro-beat infused hip-hop, electronica, Indian Classical, rap, Samoan choral and blues, there’ll be something for everybody.
