They’ve also released the first single from the forthcoming album.

The Killers will return with their highly anticipated sixth studio album Imploding The Mirage this May which will see them heading on a 2020 world tour.

Imploding The Mirage features a huge spread of collaborations with artists including Lindsey Buckingham, kd lang, Weyes Blood Adam Granduciel (War On Drugs), Blake Mills and Lucius.

Drawing from influence ranging from Kate Bush to Peter Gabriel, the album sees The Killers exploring a new sonic direction. Having moved from their hometown in Las Vegas before writing and recording the album, Imploding The Mirage leaves behind the grit of the band’s Nevada roots, pushing them out of their comfort zone.

They’ve given a taste of what’s to come with the first single off the record, ‘Caution’, released today.

To celebrate the forthcoming album, The Killers will embark on a world tour, today announcing four Australian dates set to take place across November. The shows join previously announced tours of the UK and Europe, which have already sold out, as well as shows in the US and Canada which will feature special guest Johnny Marr.
