The Jezebels describe this as a ‘’90s song’ that ‘morphs into a dystopian pop nightmare’. I assume the dystopian nightmare bit is in reference to the twin gunning guitar action towards the end of the track, but lord knows how the ‘90s figure in any of this. The second single from their chart-storming debut album sounds more like Evanescence than anything else, all histrionic and quasi-goth like, and easily forgettable.
