Melbourne’s Jed Rowe Band has a sophomore album on the way, with this plodding song of devotion functioning as the lead single. Produced by Jeff Lang, it has a stoic country sound, twanging and quavering but phenomenally dull. The lyrics, written while Jed’s wife was pregnant and unwell, are overwrought and metaphor-heavy, but they seem sincere.
