The Brunswick Hotel announces fundraiser gig to re-open its doors

brunny.jpg

It’s been two weeks since the Brunny closed it’s doors, thanks to a car which drove into a fire hydrant out the front, causing extreme structural damage and a whole lot of water where it shouldn’t be.

With the water destroying everything in its path, that’s a lot of bar staff, sound engineers, bussies and security guards out of a job. Also, that’s a lot of live music we won’t be able to hear.

It’s not entirely bad news though. The Brunswick community bands together in times of trouble, and in true Brunny community spirit, there’s going to be one helluva party to raise funds for one of our favourite institutions.

Flood Aid will go down at Rubix Warehouse on Saturday April 7, tickets are cheap as chips, and there are 10 bands playing in support of their local. Start saving your spare change, because it’s all for a great cause.

The Flood Aid lineup will include Flyying Colours, China Beach, Two Headed Dog, The FckUps, Australian Kingswood Factory, The Balls, Three Quarter Beasts, Palmerslum, Giant and Mojo Pin.
