Harley Breen is an expert at avoiding full-time employment, and this is a show which aims to be as Aussie as ‘pulling a sickie’ and eating a sausage at the polling booth. Breen is confident and bold and laughter at his shows is infectious. He’s on stage at Mantra One at Mantra On Russell at 9.30pm.
Cameron James Chilled Out/Fired Up
Cameron uses this show to acknowledge the little voices inside us, both good and evil, that guide us through every day’s annoying challenges. He’s supported Will Anderson and Tom Green, and promises to mention a cute panda in his Wednesday show. Laugh along in the Zeus room at the Greek Centre at 7pm.
Arj Barker We Need To Talk
Australians love a bit of Arj Barker, and his new show is no exception. We’re pretty sure we don’t even need to sell you on his hilarity, especially as he navigates the difficulty of breakup talks. Catch him at the Melbourne Town Hall’s Main Hall at 7.30pm.
Lou Wall It’s Not Me, It’s Lou
Lou will be performing eight original songs, based on real-life Facebook statuses. She’s a millennial, so of course, that’s what she’s writing songs about. Tweet, Snapchat, ‘Gram and update your Facebook status at her show from 6.45pm at The Cooper’s Malthouse Shell Room.
Alice Fraser ETHOS
Alice uses her show to demonstrate to the audience how exactly she would explain our society of contradictions to a non-human intelligence. She explores artificial intelligence and otherworldly minds at The Chinese Museum’s Tea Room at 7.15pm.
Loyiso Goya Unlearning
Loyiso likes to challenge societal norms and question race, politics and history in a bold, charming and confronting show, that brings to Melbourne his award-winning philosophical comedy. Join Loyiso in some sharp observations at Mantra One at Mantra On Russell tonight at 7pm.
