Lillypad Flowers

  • 17 Bellevue Cres, Preston VIC 3072

Established in 2001, Lillypad Flowers was born out of a little ‘Cottage Garden on Spring’ in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. Over time they’ve flourished from a couple of retail locations in Reservoir to expand into a warehouse now based in Preston. They have a love for providing quality, unique and creative floral gifts – you can see some phenomenal examples on their Instagram above – that’s seen clients ordering and travelling from all over Melbourne for our flowers.

You can visit their retail space to select from a beautiful range of premade fresh flower bouquets, arrangements and a display room filled with preserved flower arrangements. Shop their range here.

Bush

  • 917 Rathdowne St, Carlton North VIC 3054

Bush celebrates all things wild and wonderful in the Australian outback. Located in Carlton North, the florist and boutique nursery is a passion project by the team behind Azalea Flowers (another great choice for a florist). At Bush, they are dedicated to putting native plants at centre stage. Find gorgeous arrangements featuring banksias, desert flame, Christmas bush and other rare blooms. They also have cute local treats to add to your order, including bushfood-flavoured chocolate bars, tea, and seed kits. A great choice for a proud Aussie or an out-of-towner who is interested in learning about the local environment.

Bush does flower deliveries all throughout metro Melbourne. Prices are based on the distance from their storefront. Shop their range of native flowers here.

The only problem with flowers is that they tend to only have a lifespan of a few weeks before they become wilted and weathered. But not those from Everbloome! Located in Malvern, the company is focused on preserved flowers. Their blooms have undergone a conservation process which makes their beauty last for one to seven years. They don’t need any water or maintenance either – just leave them in a vase and enjoy. Because they go through the curing process, they tend to be a bit more expensive than regular flowers, but the added longevity means that you’ll get your money’s worth. They offer single-stem flowers, a collection based on zodiac signs and even natural confetti.

Everbloome offers same-day Melbourne flower delivery on weekdays in metro Melbourne if you place the order before midday. Shop their long-lasting dried floral arrangements here.

Fig & Bloom

  • 274 Wingrove St, Fairfield VIC 3078
  • 62-64 Australia St, Camperdown NSW 2050
  • 31 Jeays St, Bowen Hills QLD 4006

The arrangements at Fig & Bloom bring the glamour. Their founder, Kellie Brown, studied fashion design at RMIT before going on to pursue a career in floral arrangement. She flew to New York to study floral design under Shane Connelly, who was the principal florist for the late Queen Elizabeth. Fig & Bloom specialized in high-end floral design, so this should be top of your list if you want the best of the best (or if you’ve got a lot of appologising to do).

Fig & Bloom can deliver everything from simple, refined bouquets to show-stopping centrepieces to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Deliveries are done by hand or through a courier. Browse their collection here.

One of the newer additions to Melbourne’s floristry scene, the Beautiful Bunch is making a big impression. The non-for-profit organisation, which launched during the Covid 19 lockdowns, gives jobs to young women with refugee backgrounds who are having difficulties finding employment. The flower store is a safe and inclusive space that offers six months of technical training and helps these women feel welcome in the community. They also used locally sourced flowers and completely biodegradable packaging. If you want a bouquet that’ll put a smile on someone’s face, look no further.

The Beautiful Bunch offers Melbourne flower delivery by 6pm if orders are placed before midday. Learn more about their values and order your arrangement here.
