The April Maze are a self-described ‘alternative-folk power-duo’. I assume their power emanates from their straggly hair, because it sure isn’t coming from their music. Armed with a guitar, a cello, some piano parts and a cold, posh female vocal, they’ve made a quasi-ethereal, spiritless hippy dirge which sounds loosely like Angus & Julia Stone. Very loosely.
