The Agony and Ecstasy of Steve Jobs

In March of this year, a scandal erupted in the U.S. after performer Mike Daisey’s protest-play about the labour conditions of Chinese workers manufacturing Apple’s iPhone and iPads was found to be a work of fiction.

Artists, Joe-citizens and journalists took to the internet battlefield, slugging it out for two months, trampling and clawing each other in a desperate claim of truth.

Bringing to life the scandal surrounding Apple, Mike Daisey is getting ready to present The Agony and Ecstasy of Steve Jobs – a skilful weaving of the narrative of Steve Jobs’ life with Daisey’s own journey to the Apple plants in Shenzen, China.
