The Adults are back with tracks that fit onto any dance floor in the world and they’re heading to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne this September. This all conincides with the launch of their latest LP Haja. See the Adults at Northcote Social Club on Sunday September 9.
Made up of Shihad frontman Jon Toogood, electric-blue witch hop pioneer Estère, hip hop artist and rapper Raiza Biza, Trinity Roots drummer Ben Lemi and guitarist and vocalist Emily C. Browning, this fluid cast takes leaps away from Toogood’s connotations of hard rock pedigree.
Similar to the first Adults album, Haja not only features and exciting list of collaborators but also featured artists such as Chelsea Jade, JessB, Miloux, Aaradhna and Kings.
After releasing an album with Shihad in 2014, Toogood was searching for ideas for the next step in the Adults journey. He found inspiration from Aghani-Al-Banat, who performed traditional music as part of Toogood’s wedding in Khartoum, Sudan.
