A triumphant, irresistibly sweet and ultimately ambitious global rollick, Capital City is imbued by a classic sense of Australiana rock. Jaunting around a rampant checklist of activist action to the point of being sardonic, The Adelaide Crows capture that illusive of how unexpectedly complex adulthood really is – almost an underhanded declaration that life is what happens while you’re busy fuckin’ around in your 20s. But underneath the verbose , the reassuring cry of “Come on waste your life / rest your head on mine” resonates warmly.
